This is now more Burgundian than Rhône

so I would not push my luck too far here

Subtle hints of wood toast are present on the cool and overtly floral-inflected aromas of red berries

Bachelet Monnot, Chassagne Montrachet Blanc Vintage:2021 the 1998 Shiraz Heysen displays(from several different lieux dits but mostly from Carrires). A ripe if restrained nose shyly reflects notes of resin, pear, apple and an admirably discreet dollop of wood. There is fine volume and surprisingly good power to the vibrant and mouth coating medium bodied flavors that possess fine depth and persistence. This is an excellent Chassagne villages and worth considering.
