This is an extremely scarce Sappers and Miners Short Musket of the British East India Company, measuring 49 inches in overall length. Introduced in 1842, it utilizes the traditional musket length Musket Percussion Lock bearing E. I. C. Rampant Lion Motif. The quality of the engraving definitely indicates British manufacture, and not local production. Fitted with a 33" barrel, this Musket has all brass mounts; butt
