An exceptionally spicy and floral- inflected nose adds breadth in the form of both red and dark pinot fruit

but lacks the weight of fruit to really drive it on into the long term

I suspect pristine bottles will show better than these did

along with a hint of exotic spices that builds steadily in the glass

Firm reduction dominates the fruit today though it does appear quite ripe. Otherwise there is excellent freshness to the racy and nicely detailed flavors that possess a velvety mid palate texture that contrasts somewhat with the crunchy and slightly rustic finale.
